  • Condition: Rare and early, a fully hallmarked UK Royal Navy Sterling Silver Boatswain’s Whistle or Bosun in Excellent, Original Condition! Attributed to George Unite of Birmingham, circa 1845, this fantastic historical piece dates from the age of sail, when the British Navy ruled the waves and the sun never set on her empire! An earlier production piece, the mark was registered in 1832, but most of the pieces I’ve seen date to the 1850’s to 1870’s. No damage and fully intact with the original patina!

    Rare and early, a fully hallmarked UK Royal Navy Sterling Silver Boatswain’s Whistle or Bosun in Excellent, Original Condition!  Attributed to George Unite of Birmingham, circa 1845, this fantastic historical piece dates from the age of sail, when the British Navy ruled the waves and the sun never set on her empire!  An earlier production piece, the mark was registered in 1832, but most of the pieces I’ve seen date to the 1850’s to 1870’s.  No damage and fully intact with the original patina!
