Description
These are an ORIGINAL and VERY RARE pair of the flying goggles often associated with the Army Air Corps in the 1920's and early-WWII period. The goggles were manufactured by the E.B Meyrowitz Company of New York City and are so-labeled on the inside of the google strap and on the aluminum lens frames of the goggles.  Meyrowitz designated these goggles as the No.6 "Air Service Model", while the Air Corps termed them the Type B-1 and B-1A.  These goggles are discussed in Mick Prodger's great reference work

The goggles are in VERY GOOD used condition. The two-piece face pads are in very good condition for their 90+ year age and are not brittle and still pliable and soft enough to be worn, if desired.  The goggles come with an original aluminum "Luxor Airex" storage can (see image below), the so-called "coffin can", which is in great condition. The can is well-marked on the lid (see image below).
